The event will also feature the 3rd Place Match between River Road Legends and St. Mark’s Veterans from 4 p.m. Then the National Womens Select XI will host the St. George’s University Womens Team. When the two teams met late last year, the University girls won 2-1 with a late goal in the second half.

Technical Director of the GFA Lester Smith said that the event promises to be a spectacular one. ‘ I am happy to place on record that when we started the competition on Boxing Day last year, we never envisage the momentum and interest that is experience today, not only among the players but also the football enthusiast out there’ Smith added.

Fans now can come out and enjoy an evening of three (3) exciting matches. Admission to the event is only $5. There will be live entertainment as well.

The National Women footballers were seen yesterday going through their final paces for the game on Sunday. They are confident that they can bounce back from their last defeat to the SGU Team.
